Pinch Me; I Must Be Nightmaring

Today in 1^st block I met with the school social worker to discuss a possible DSS referral for one of my students.

Today in 2^nd block a young woman kicked a young man in the face. At least that’s not a social services issue—that’s straight to admin.

Today in 3^rd block we were in lockdown for a threat in the neighborhood.

Today in 4^th block we went back into lockdown and a gentleman in my class decided it was a good idea to spray the fire extinguisher across the class. I shared his curiosity as to what is inside those things, but 35 students locked in a classroom is probably not the best time to experiment.

Today I trekked across town to observe KIPP teachers boring the heck out of impeccably behaved students.

Tomorrow, I think, will be better.
